Dance and indie music label and distributor, operating in South East Asia.
In the early years, Love Da Records (LDR) put its focus on dance music and started by acting as the exclusive distributing representative for electronic labels such as Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, Global underground, Warp and Ninja Tune from the U.K. In 1998 LDR also acted as dance consultant for BMG Asia Pacific playing a prominent role in market analysis with nexus on Asian Dance Music Market, strategic planning as well as creating dance compilation albums for the group.
Seeing the increasing demand for independent music in the market, LDR expanded its distribution catalogue to indie and dance music – covering a variety of musical taste from folk music, indie rock, experimental to electronic, house, techno, chill-out and more. LDR quickly grew to become the official distributor of numerous major independent records labels such as PIAS Co-Op, Play It Again Sam (PIAS), BMG Right’s Management, Mute, Ministry of Sound, Edel, Cooking Vinyl, !K7, Groove Attack, Wagram Group, Warp, Ninja Tune, Memphis Industies, Spinnin' Records, Kitsuné, Naïve plus more. Its expansion was magnified by the establishment of offices in Singapore (2008) and later in Taiwan (2011), expanding its network to new markets in South East Asia.
