Gearbox Records is an independent UK based vinyl production label, owned and operated by Darrel Sheinman, specialising in releasing previously unpublished Jazz onto vinyl limited editions. The vinyl cutting studio is situated at Tileyard Studios in King's Cross.

Many of their releases are taken from Jazz programmes on the BBC.
For example, their "BBC Jazz For Moderns" series are taken from the BBC Jazz For Moderns radio series broadcasts in 1962, hosted by Steve Race, produced at the time by Terry Henebery, and recorded at the BBC Maida Vale Studios.
