Just to echo the previous comment, I do find that the 90's vinyl pressings from Radikal can be quite poor.

Most (if not all) of the Radikal pressings I have are from '91-'95, and in general they suffer from pops, ticks & sometimes distortion.

It's nowhere near as bad as the classic Trax example, but it is clear that they didn't exactly care much for decent vinyl.

Hey, we can't complain. This stuff was made for club use by DJs, not audiophile Jazz collectors.

Essentially the US equivalent of the Ministry of Sound label. Commercial dance releases of all types, the vast majority of releases are hits ported over for a new audience that's just now discovering this "house music" thing. Their vinyl pressings are also of questionable quality, and seem very cheaply made.

This label has been responsible for at least a few good tracks, though, my favorites being Adam Starr's "Bad Acid Jesus", and the excellent Deepsky remix of Cafe del Mar that resulted from their partnership with Arcade Music Company (Arcade America).

I rely on Radikal Records to give me the type of dance music I want to listen to and get domestically. I hate paying $10-$20 for a CD import and this company puts the greatest tracks from Europe out in the US. THis is the best dance record company in the US. =)
