Mohamed Boussif created the company in 1938. The latter was reputed to have been the first company to produce North African singers and musicians, around 1938. At that time, Arab music was mainly imported from Eastern arab countries. The family business has continued to develop, while adapting its offer to technological developments. Originally founded in Morroco, the company is based in France.
