One of the four "Elephant" labels founded by Dureco. Pink Elephant was set up especially for their top act Shocking Blue. Pink Elephant went on to specialize in Western orientated pop and rock music. (For "black music" there was Blue Elephant, for "white jazz" White Elephant (2) and for "black jazz" Black Elephant.) In the late 1970s, Dureco quit with the Elephant labels, initially by releasing all types of music on the Pink label. Around 1980, all those releases were released on GIP.
