This japanese record company was formed as a part of The Fuji-Sankei Group (TV broadcasting and newspaper publishing) on August 1, 1970 with a capital of ¥10,000,000. They released their first product on October 10, 1970, a single "Juke Box", which sold 50,000 copies in the first 10 days. In the 70's the company had strong connections with Pony, one of Japan's largest tape software makers and distributors.
In October 21, 1987 it merged with the Nippon Broadcasting System, Inc. owned Pony, Inc. to form Pony Canyon Inc.
