Explorer Series

This series, which Nonesuch released from 1967 to 1984, consisted mainly of field recordings, and made the label a pioneer in the field of world music before the term had even been coined. The revival of the series began in 2002. From 1987 to 1995 Nonesuch releases were labeled Elektra Nonesuch.
