KAFKATRAX is a Profan project by Wolfgang Voigt, limited to three Maxis and one CD. The name KAFKATRAX is selected for two main reasons: First, because all of the sounds heard on KAFKATRAX, with the exception of the bassdrum, are made out of voices taken from a Franz Kafka
audio book CD. And second, because the abstract overlaying and stratification of voices and word-fragments over five octaves creates a psychotic-paranoid, “kafkaesque“ atmosphere. All three Maxis are handpainted, numbered and limited to 199 copies.
