Hyperdub

At the time Hyperdub was not only a good catalyst of dubstep (not the first, not the most important, but gathering quite a lot of substyles including the chiptune ones) but I also credit them for bringing more experimental sounds and syncopation to the respectability of the electronic magazines which became absolutely lost during the second part of the 00s. Their popularity made more interesting things become popular, and if only for that I thank for their existence. After so many years of minimal albums on the top of every list and lineups for festivals, this was such a relief.

Chiptune style has to be the most irritating sound ever! I remember the 80s and 90s and that video arcade sound was annoying back then. Stupidest style term ever for an even stupider sound!
