Recording, mastering studio and lacquer processing studio in Hamburg, Germany. Founded 1962 by G. F. Pfanz).
1962: Established as recording studio and reel-to-reel service and repair shop.
1966: Vinyl mastering and lacquer cutting introduced.
1969: Studios relocate to new premises, now consisting of 1 recording studio and 1 cutting studio. Reel-to-reel service is given up.
1991: Studio incorporated as GmbH under new management of Otto Kock (Tonträger-Zubehör Otto E. Kock).
1992: Torsten Günter Pfanz is the new owner.
1995: Studios closed, company renamed to Da Capo Tonträgerproduktion und -vertriebs GmbH and relocated to Pinneberg.
The lacquer cuts can be identified by "PF" (or occasionally "PFANZ", see España Olé) in the matrix/runout etchings. In such cases Lacquer Cut By - G. F. Pfanz + ANV PF and Lacquer Cut At - Tonstudio Pfanz should be used. However, in some rare cases the etched PF looks significantly different (see images here and here). In these cases, only use Lacquer Cut At, because the disc was most likely cut by another staff member of the studio.

G. F. Pfanz
Der Musikmarkt Branchenhandbuch edition 1992 denotes Hans Dethlof as 'Studio Technician'.
Occasionally, a full length etched Alfred Nierhoff credit can be found together with the PF credit.
