Thinner was a netlabel founded in 1998 by Thomas Jaldemark that was mainly operated by Sebastian Redenz and Ole Schulte as leading parts of an international team until 2009. The label was based in Frankfurt, Germany. Thinner’s catalogue includes releases from artists such as Vladislav Delay, Marko Fürstenberg, Digitalverein, Veer, Benfay, Pheek, Krill.Minima, Christian Bloch and many others. As of September 2006, Thinner productions had accumulated over two million MP3 downloads. Thinner had a sublabel called Autoplate, focusing on experimental and ambient music.

In 2010 the label stopped its activity.

man, wouldn't it be great if all the thinner releases were available in lossless format, for free on some bandcamp page! that should definitely happen!

A wonderful netlabel that had the most beautiful dubby techno releases of that time (and just for free). There are very unique things in their catalogue (the T-Polar releases) and an incredible year in 2004 where all the releases were incredibly strong. Severly missed.

My favorite label at the moment. The music is beautiful and precise, ranging from deep dubby grooves to spaced out ambient moods. Quality stuff from top to bottom, but my favorites currently are Surphase, Curse, Danny Kreutzfeldt and Digitalverein. Recommended listening to the fullest degree!!
