EMI Studios, Stockholm

EMI Studios, Stockholm image

Profile:

Originally opened for business in the early sixties and has since been a hub for hundreds of prominent Scandinavian and international artists, songwriters and producers. EMI created the studios in Skärmarbrink, Stockholm, by converting an abandoned cinema.

The studios were sold by EMI in 2000 to Cosmos Studios, which is what they were hereafter called. In 2012 they were sold again and the new owners renamed them X-Level Studios. After a couple of years new owners changed the name to Baggpipe Studios. Next change came in 2022, and the studios were now called Kaza Studios which became IMRSV Studios, Stockholm in 2023.

Kaza was the name of the cinema that was located in the building since 1939 and eventually transformed into the music studio complex.
