The company was acquired in May 1967 by Transamerica Corporation and absorbed into the group. After a major restructuring, United Artists Records Inc. was re-established in February 1971 when re-named from Liberty/UA, Inc. In September 1974 it was succeeded by United Artists Music And Records Group, Inc.
