Founded in 1980 by Jerry Greene (4), Collectables is the largest independently-owned reissue record label in the United States. It specializes in the reissue of classic out-of-print recordings of all genres from the vaults of Columbia, Atlantic, RCA, Capitol Records, and other labels.

Some releases are co-branded with the source label; these can be entered under both labels with the same catalog number. Sometimes the source label is represented by a custom logo in the Collectables' banner-script style (e.g. Epic, Island).

Collectables was initially owned by Collectables Records Corp., but was subsequently re-established under Collectables, Inc. in 2005.
