Established on 7 October 1974 by Eddy Gorecki, who sold it in 1980 and subsequently moved to the US.
In January 1980, Gedmal was accused of providing metalwork and stampers for bootleg records from David Bowie, Bob Dylan and The Buzzcocks.
In 1985, Gedmal and custom presser Statetune Ltd. established Accurate Sound Ltd., as joint venture to operate a tape duplication plant in Queniborough, near Leicester.
By that time, Statetune's MD Andrew Lipinski was already co-manager along with Gedmal's William Komedera.
