Japanese record company (ポリドール株式会社), established on October 1, 1971.
Do not enter Polydor K.K. as label but as a company, with roles like 'Manufactured By' or 'Record Company', depending on how they are mentioned on the release.

It was a joint-venture between Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft mbH and Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. and succeeded Nippon Grammophon Co., Ltd.. The company represented a number of PolyGram labels in Japan, such as DGG, Polydor, Riverside, Verve, MGM, Archiv, and Daybreak but also Stax and Ricordi.
In July 1999 Polydor K.K. renamed Universal Music K.K..
Universal Music K.K. in January 2009 merged into ユニバーサル ミュージック合同会社 (Universal Music LLC which originally established in October 2008)
