So Fresh is a compilation album series produced by Sony Music Australia, available in Australia only. It is released every three months starting with the inaugural release Spring 2000 and was a replacement to the long running Hit Machine series.
Releases are usually composed of a mixture of tracks recorded by artists signed to Sony and Universal Music Australia and that mainly appear in the biggest Top 40 hits of the season.
So Fresh is the most successful compilation album series in Australia music history with every seasonal album since 2000 having reached No. 1 on the ARIA Chart “Compilation Albums” list, with most selling over 140,000 copies (Double Platinum in Australia).
Apart from there standard seasonal release, they also released DVDs (2001-2005) and in 2008, they start releasing historic “Greatest Hits” style compilation albums and in 2012, they also started releasing genre specific “Dance” compilation album.
So Fresh TV series broadcast on the Nine Network from 2002-2006 which was filmed in the Sydney CBD. The hosts of the show were Jules Lund (2002-2003), David Campbell (2004-2006) and Elysia Platt (2002-2006), who would sometimes interview artists. The show mainly played music videos of newly releases songs. The series was cancelled in late 2006, in the face of strong competition from Network Ten's Video Hits/
