The first two releases titled 'A Voyage Into Trance' were Goa Trance mix CDs originally released by Dragonfly Records. These two releases were later released in Germany as a 2xCD set by Tua Records under the same name. Tua Records then released the Dragonfly Records compilation 'Dragonfly Classix' as volume 2 and a compilation of tracks from Platipus as volume 3. Sub Terranean later released the first three volumes again and subsequently volumes 4, 5 and 6 with each volume showcasing tracks from a different label.
