Van Halen ???!!! - are you kidding me ? How embarrassing for Mofi - what a waste of resources and nothing but a money grab for some of most stoopid music ever made - must have got a good price on the licensing.......very bad choice MoFi, who's gonna buy this pap ? Not an audiophile with any taste for good music, that's for sure - but there will be the flippers, wonder how long it will take to flip and make any money at all ? A long time, I will guarantee you, compared to the rest of the UD1S issues - and aside from the first album, it will be interesting to see how long it takes for these to sell out...It'll be great to see if they can't sell them all, and offering them at a reduced price.......!
I have some great pressings from MoFi some as old as 30 years. Unfortunately, MoFi got sandwiched between the "death of vinyl" due to CDs and its recent resurgence due to vintage awareness and finally awareness that sound/music is an analog phenomenon. The result of being squeezed is Music Direct of Chicago bought them and have done what so often happens in acquisitions. They have cut staff, let go talent, and managed from the spreadsheet with the resulting loss of quality and customer service. They seem so mismanaged now by MD they cannot seem to keep vinyl production going - most titles are "sold out." Buying online directly from MoFi or MusicDirect has resulted in numerous order fulfillment errors, all of which MD refused to correct except at my expense and inconvenience. I will no longer buy from them and have found greater Audiophile satisfaction & customer service from Analogue Productions/Acoustic Sounds. AP/AS still care about the "art" and not the bottomline as the owner of MD clearly favors. Avoid these cynical crooks if you can.
Well how is this for non-existent customer service..I just purchased the KOB 2x45rpm box set and lI received disc 2 of KOB and The Cars Shake it Up..they will not send the correct disc 1...Great Covid customer service...not
Awful company...I purchased the j cash 45 lp and one month later they said there was an inventory error and they couldn't send me the album...anyone else had this??
Does anyone know what websites in Europe sell MOFI records? I only know of VinylGourmet based in Portugal. Shipping from MusicDirect is getting to be too much for me. Appreciate any info! Thanks
Just listened to my first ' so called ' Audiophile, quality garanteed pressing from 'Mofi'. The sound is great but the pressing is SHIT. Audible scratches also. Disappointed...
Does anyone know how "limited" the numbered editions are? Can't find the info anywhere, would be interesting to find out how many copies are pressed of each release. Not sure why Mofi is keeping this info secret.
