British record label. Now inactive, Neat is best known for its role in releasing NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) classics. Established in 1979 by David Wood, with the assistance of Steve Thompson (11), and based in Wallsend, near Newcastle, in England. The label was sold sixteen years later to Sanctuary Records by the then owner, Jess Cox.
In 1995 the new owners, Sanctuary Records, began re-issuing the back catalogue on CD, under the moniker Neat Metal.
The label publishing was handled by Neat Music Publishing.
