January 30, 2015When analog was the thing again, these guys took house further and re-defines lo-fi to a LOWER definition. Too rough edged for beatport and digital in it's final glory, but perfect for vinyl like the source it was created from. I don´t buy so much vinyl these days, but i feel the material of this label just commands you to aquire it on vinyl because the sound of these tracks simply is fit to only be on this medium. So i buy them when i can.
Electronic music does not surprise me anymore and nobody is breaking any grounds at all. But sampling has existed since early 90´s and its presence as an art form went away at the end of the 90'a in house music. But i really like the way these guys are going with it now. Creating an almost completely new fresh take on the art of sampling and cutting up tracks. Some of these tracks on here consist mostly of nothing else than samples only. So, to my ears they are being more unique and more polarised against the other producers who are doing all these over-sophisticated, weird sounding 303-909 revival tracks these days that is boring me to death. I am still seeking out club music with a decent touch of humour and fun added and these guys delivers.
