There has been an entry at this label which catalogued a 12th Hellsound release from Artist Psylocke. This release has been removed because of the absence of proof that this release actually exists. If anyone knows something about this release, either with artwork or whitelabel, without or with catalogue number, please contact me.
Down below you'll see the suppossed release information. The supposed tracks have been release on CD compilations before so it would not be unlikely the tracks have been planned or released. The release would have been sceduled at the end of 1997 which was the period that ID&T stopped releasing hardcore on it's labels. That's why many ID&T releases, for example Test Crash Special 2 and Bad Vibes 20, have never made it to be an actual (full artwork) release and have only been pre-released as a (promotional) whitelabel. In between it could be only a handfull of copies from this Hellsound 12 could have been distributed. It could be there is no catalogue number engraved into the vinyl and the only thing it's recognizable are the tracks. See down below.
Artist; Psylocke
Tracks; A. M.F. Gang B1. Fuck All B2. Don't Chase The Clouds
On Partyflock a user speaks about a Hellsound 12 vinyl release which wasn't a whitelabel (late ID&T sublabel releases that were canceled had already been pre-pressed as whitelabel) but with actual Hellsound artwork (cover and vinyl label) without Artist name information. This could be a whitelabel provided with a vinyl label sticker and a standard plain cover of Hellsound, still being a whitelabel pre pressing. He heared the release at a mid-town store but did not buy the record.
Unclear to me, a guessing game, is if this release actualiteit exists. If you know more please contact me. I know from my own experience as a webshop employee and owner and from college's who bought a lot of old ID&T stocks that it has never been found in these huge stocks. You would say there should have been some found in these piles (sometimes over 10.000 ID&T vinyls) if they actually existed but maybe this 12th was so extremely rare only a few are around. If it exist it must come to service in the next 10 years. Check your whitelabels well!
A long time ago (even before discogs started) there was a website where you could find a catalog with a lot of releases from hardcore labels from the nineties. On this site there was also a catalog from the Hellsound label. It contained 2 extra releases than the ones now on discogs. One of them was from Drokz. I contacted Richard about this some years ago and he told me that he only released the Count Negative & Drokz record on this label and said the other one didn't exist.
However, around 1999/2000 I've seen a whitelabel of this label in a recordstore with a catalognumber different than the releases above. And up to today I still wonder what was on it (I didn't listen to it back then). Maybe it was a very limited testpressing, some kind of bootleg or an ID&T release with a false cat#. We would probably never know.
The first two releases HB001 and HB002 have the name "Hellbound" in the artwork, what actually should have been "Hellsound". Also the catalogue numbers of this label were supposed to be "HS" from Hellsound and not "HB" from Hellbound. ID&T spoke to the artwork-designers over the phone but due to a miscommunication the artwork-designers used the Hellbound (party) name.
ID&T named this label Hellsound, a slight variation on the name of the famous Hellbound partys that where frequently held at that time in the "Fun" Hemkade, Zaandam (NL). For this label they wanted to use the same logo, the 'Hell-Head' but for the music call it Hell'Sound'. So only one letter had to be changed for the label.
When I bought HB002, the recordstore-owner told me that ID&T confirmed the artwork over the phone without seeing it and thats why it went this way. After the second release ID&T noticed it and decided to change the artwork to Hellsound and so from HB003 and following the name is rendered correctly to Hellsound. To prevent confusion in the catalogue numbers they decided to keep the HB cataloging.
