Marlboro Music

Profile:

German label which ran from 1986-2000.
Label Code:LC 8307 / LC 08307
The label's use of the Marlboro logo is often mistakenly believed to be unofficial, but it was part of an official brand diversification program by Philip Morris Germany. Initially Marlboro Music focused on the rock genre before shifting focus in the mid 1990s with the release of the London Underground (3) series. They also partnered with English label Mo Wax on several releases for the German market. Graphic design was handled by Headcharge (2).

For the pre-1986 publisher use Marlboro Music (3).

Marlboro was one of the smaller music companies in germany - distributed by Virgin Records / Munich.
Phillip Morris was not only cigarettes - but also music and holiday travels.
    I know all personally.....

Has this label been banned for sale because it has been financed with the evil tobacco? Maybe Discogs should ban all records with smoking people on the covers as well? Clean it up and make it family friendly!
