One of the finest labels of its time, and definitely 1 of my favs. I'm pretty sure this is the only label (whose amount of releases go up to double numbers, anyhow) of which I own the complete discography. Deep and dark, well-produced gems from the get go, with a unique sound and a quality to them that was rare for the era.
They weren't trying to be like anyone else, they were doing their own thing and did it very well.
In my eyes, Skeleton is up there with the likes Good Looking, Ram, Basement, in as much as it had its own uncompromising style. The only difference is it wasn't given anywhere near enough credit as it should have been.

Releases to check:

*Luv ta luv ya remix .. Sampling Donna Summer's vocals (which would also be used later in 'Dark Angel'), this is a minimal Hardcore affair with a monstrous b-line.

*Don't take it!.. An early Ragga Jungle-style rinseout, which was actually quite a lot different to their usual style. Always reminds me of that infamous Kenny Ken & Randall AWOL set. This is how Ragga Jungle should sound!

*Triple 6.. 1 of those wonderful tunes that can be mixed in any kind of set, whether it be Jungle, Jungle Tekno, Hardcore.. The only thing that slightly lets down this release (as with some of the earlier Skeletons) is the poor mastering but it's no biggie when a tune is this good.

*Full cry.. Often gets overlooked because of its amazing flip side but this is a masterpiece in itself. Just check those samples, never heard anything like them in any '94 Jungle tune! It keeps moving, getting deeper & deeper coming to a solemn breakdown then building back up again for some more controlled madness. The break has been used a few times before but there's something refreshingly different about how it's used here.
