Contrary to prior comments from other users, I've always found TJ to be a pleasure to deal with. Not every transaction I've had with them has been entirely hassle-free but their staff have always replied to my queries super quickly and been hugely helpful. It's also worth mentioning that their prices are super low, with stuff like SUMAC's "May You Be Held" costing less than $20 (i.e. about £12-14) for a double LP on heavyweight coloured vinyl in a thick, high-gloss gatefold and matte slipcase. In all respects, Thrill Jockey are one of the best labels I've ever dealt with.

Some excellent releases over the years, but on the business side of things, it’s clear that they value the dollar over the customer. Avoid buying direct from the label if you can. This is something I won’t say about any other label that I’ve dealt with over the years - typically I encourage direct support as much as possible!
