Prince's first own record label created in 1985 with partial funding by Warner Bros., named after the song from Around The World In A Day. Initially a Warner imprint, but became a 50/50 joint venture in 1986 or 1987. When Warner shuttered Paisley Park's distribution deal in 1994, Prince founded NPG Records in February 1994.
Other artists signed to Paisley Park include The Family (2), Jill Jones, Madhouse, Sheila E., George Clinton, Mavis Staples, The Time and Carmen Electra.
