Rams Horn Records B.V. went bankrupt in 1985. A few months later the operation was re-started under the name Rams Horn/GW Productions B.V., kicking off with the release of Tim Greene's Facts of Life (RHR 3427) and pressing old items previously released, but the Rams Horn Records brand could not be used due to a dispute with the liquidator. Therefore the "Rams Horn" brand (without "Records") was introduced. Re-pressings could not have the previous original catalognumbers either, which explains the re-pressings appearing with identical tracklistings, but with the old catalognumber on the matrix. Founder Guido Weyprecht passed away on December 19th 2004. By that time Rams Horn could never again achieve the successes it had. Rams Horn had some serious legal litigations and had an umbrella of companies (some of them based on Aruba) and several artists and companies had legal issues with the company, Eminem being one of the well known.
The company is currently led by Guido's son Siegfried "Siggi" Weyprecht. The complete vinyl-stock of Rams Horn is currently for sale.
