Founded by Kevin Bergeron and Sue Ellen Soto Waxwork Records is a New Orleans based record label specializing in the release of classic cinema, horror, cult, and sci-fi film scores in the highest quality LP packages available. Waxwork revisits the original source master tapes for every release. Often times, these original masters are thought to have been lost, even destroyed, for decades. The master tapes are tracked down by the label, re-mixed, and re-mastered by former White Zombie guitarist Jay Yuenger. All Waxwork titles are pressed to 180 gram audiophile grade vinyl and housed in heavy old style casebound tip-on jackets.
Each release features newly commissioned full package artwork and design including liner notes from the film directors and composers.
Distributed worldwide by Light in the Attic Records
Waxwork records is one of my favorite soundtrack centric labels out there, they've turned me onto some great films as well and they put care into the products with expansive liner notes and great looking and sounding records, they align themselves with great artist as well for great presentation for their art direction and Mean Jean and company are always friendly and helpful to me! A++ label and I wish them all the success
So incredibly happy i found waxwork records. I have purchased 3 so far and that’s only the beginning. They have the best customer service and their releases are incredible! So much attention and love goes into everyone one. I love how they do limited drops and even re-releases in case you miss one. They do great sales too! By far best record company i have found for soundtracks. Keep it up guys i wish you all the sucesss!
I have loved every release I've gotten from Waxwork Records--the sound, the artwork, and the incredible vinyl colors are all amazing (some of my favorites are "Trick 'r Treat," "The Only Lovers Left Alive," "Lovecraft Country," "Krampus," and "Candyman"). The only issue I ever had with one album (it had a scratch across one side) was resolved really quickly! I contacted Waxwork Record's customer service, heard back from them in less than 24 hours, and got a replacement album within the week :-O ! I'll be a customer for life, for sure.
I’ve been an avid Waxwork Records customer since they began. I”ve purchased most of their catalogue and think they are the best soundtrack record label going.
Always packaged properly and good customer service. I will be a customer of there for as long as they make soundtracks. Quality is a premium for me, good packaging and good pressings. Waxwork makes it all happen consistently….
It's been maybe a little over a year since I discovered Waxwork Records and I've become a loyal fan. Between releases I know I have to have, new discoveries to scores I wouldn't have otherwise known I liked, collaborations with amazing artists, consistently wonderful customer support, and a community of listeners on the same page, Waxwork has a fan in me for life.
I only have one Waxwork release so far, but it was a pleasant transaction, and you can tell from the packaging that much detail and great care was taken. I purchased The Munsters OST solely because Graham Humphries did the art. Please consider Graham Humphries for art often, if you can. I would pretty much buy anything he does. Thank you!
I've done many transactions with Waxwork Records and each one has been an absolute great experience!! I am proud to display my collection of colorful, great quality, vinyl albums that make my friends and family want to start re-collecting vinyl records just because of this record shop.
The pressings of the vinyl records are all but amazing and the scores they've landed and have released recently have been EVERYTHING when it comes to the artwork, the quality, and even the CARE that Waxwork employees take when packaging their items.
Killer Klowns from Outerspace happens to be one of my absolute favorites and am so very happy I was able to get my hands on a copy during their amazing BOGO 50% sale. Don't sleep on Midnight Mass, and even their newest releases look amazing - I want the Firefly Family set, so so so bad!!
Regardless of what SOME PERSON (you know who you are) thinks or says, Waxwork is highly recommended and I will always be a supporter of their vinyl records and work put into making them happen!!
Thank you so much, Waxwork! Special shout-out to Mean Jean, Rachel, and Kevin Dredge for being amazing human beings, helping to bring vinyl records back into the homes of many across the US and World. Waxwork Records Rock, Fanger for life!!
I've been a fan of WW for a long time and they have never failed me. The quality of their pressings and packaging are ace, and the artists and IP they work with are just stellar. Along with Death Waltz, WW has clearly been a gamechanger for those of us who like soundtracks and adjacent fare.
I purchased my first Waxwork Records release 6 years ago in a used bin. Unknown to me, it turned out to be a grail in the Waxwork legacy (GID Re-Animator). I was instantly hooked. The artwork, the quality and attention to detail, and of course the SOUND are all superior (to me) than some competing companies. I have since purchased every release they have put out. Out of all of those releases I have only had quality hiccups with 3 items. Those 3 items were IMMEDIATELY addressed AND replaced. Emails were answered within hours. This is a company to support for all aspects of business.
