In-house Decca releases were typically mastered and lacquers cut at Decca Studios. The matrix is stamped in a straight line - usually four letters followed by four digits, a hyphen and a '1' followed by a letter which indicates the identity of the lacquer cutting engineer. The aliases/IDs of these Decca engineers are listed in the Decca Studios company profile.

The plant, which was not included in PolyGram's take-over of Decca, was purchased by Racal in April 1980 as part of its package deal for Decca's electronic business.
It was then sold in July 1980 to London Print & Design Ltd. for an undisclosed sum.

The plant was closed later in 1980 and pressings were transferred to Europe.
