Profile:

The first record company in Greece that competed against the majors, founded by Martin Th. Gesar on October 27th, 1959. During the 1960s, it released a vast quantity of Greek popular music, more than any other local company. At some time in the late 1980s (1988 or 1989) Martin Th. Gesar sold the label to Ανδρέας Καϊάφας who changed the label name to Music Box International (also referred to as MBI). The Music-Box brand resurfaced in the new millennium with a new logo.
