Good catalogue but I will never order directly from them or their bandcamp again. One order took 5 months to arrive and all the records were unplayable and had to be de-warped. How a Spanish label like Glossy Mistakes in Covid times took 2 weeks to send 2 pristine records and this Swiss label took 5 months to send 6 badly warped records? I will stick to digital or will buy in my local record store (Who got those records 2 months ago in stock!)...Fuming.

I have seen roughly 12x discs over 3 different releases of theirs (2017-2018) and 10x of those 12x discs have had audible manufacturing defects.

https://www.discogs.com/Midori-Takada-Through-The-Looking-Glass/release/9975547
https://www.discogs.com/Midori-Takada-Masahiko-Satoh-Lunar-Cruise/release/10780171
https://www.discogs.com/Mkwaju-Ensemble-Mkwaju/release/12784525

The mastering on these for vinyl is excellent across the board.

However, I have had to return each record multiple times to get non-defective copies. Most had non-fill, or off-centered pressing, or weird surface noise that sticks out above the music. I did receive a good copy of "Looking glass" after 3 returns; I have gone through 4 or 5 of "Lunar Cruise" and they're all a mess.

I'm personally having to avoid buying more of their releases until they get some way to ensure the quality control of their releases, which sucks, because I love their focus.

I have, I would say, close to 75% of their catalogue I have had only one issue which they replaced and the replacement was flawless. Their pressings are good.

My opinion is that CD is a good and cheaper alternative to avoid any of the issue inherent to vinyl manufacturing.

Congratulations, you win first prize in the shittest-name-for-a-label competition!

Commiserations to 'Mental Groove' who have been knocked off the spot after an excellent streak... Oh. Hangabout...

Best reissue label of all time? Maybe not. In the top ten? It's possible, but unlikely.
But is it a damn good fucking reissue label? Of that you can be sure. I don't think you should have any hesitation in making that particular claim.

Too many joyless, literalist misers commenting about this label and its name as if the concept of "irreverence" has never entered into their brains. WRWTFWW deserves a better, less stick-in-the-mud, less reactionary fanbase. I hope the majority already are. I hope the naysayers can scrape together a sense of humour, somehow. Life is better that way.

Pathetic isn't it ? Why in god's name they have to take it out on record labels who are trying to be creative is beyond me.

What I meant was are they mastered or remastered well for vinyl? I understand that they can release whatever they want but if they took such an idea literally and gloss over the proper care needed for them to be sold to any market, that kinda scares me.

I have of their semi-recent releases:
https://www.discogs.com/Midori-Takada-Through-The-Looking-Glass/release/9975547
https://www.discogs.com/Midori-Takada-Masahiko-Satoh-Lunar-Cruise/release/10780171

These were all pressed at Optimal:
https://www.discogs.com/label/313190-Optimal-Media-GmbH/

Which, in my experience, is really uneven with their quality control.
And also a bummer, because they keep reissuing records that I am dying to have, and have to weigh the frustration of probably returning a record a handful of times when I consider a purchase.

However, they do have great customer service, in my limited experience.

Edit: Received Mkwaju Ensemble's Self Titled reissue, it also was very well-mastered and also has pressing defects.

You're easily scared. Fear is for cowards. Do something about that. Fight your irrational fear. It's obviously blinded you to sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek label names. What is the point of record collecting if it's informed by apprehension and fear? Seems like a joyless and hopeless Sisyphean task if you cannot apply humour & good cheer to it.

Get lost dude.

They seem to have done a great job on the Ghost in the shell album. So Id say good in general.
