Telarc Jazz


From Telarc, a label known for its audiophile recordings of classical works, this sub-label primarily featured traditional jazz releases, from 1989 to 2005 (From 2005 and later, reissues have followed).
From the vocals of Joe Williams, Mel Tormé, and Bobby Short to digital recordings by many of the pillars of jazz's bebop and post-bop artists, including Gerry Mulligan, Ray Brown, Ahmad Jamal, Jim Hall, Slide Hampton, Jimmy McGriff, George Shearing, McCoy Tyner's piano explorations, and more.
In 1996, parent Telarc merged with another independent jazz label, Heads Up International. In late 2005 both Telarc and Heads Up were acquired by Concord Music Group, Inc.
