Round Records (3)

Profile:

Short-lived California label founded by Jerry Garcia and Ron Rakow, guitarist/vocalist and manager respectively of The Grateful Dead.
Formed in 1973 to release solo material by Garcia and other projects related to The Grateful Dead, apart from several live albums, most of the releases were recorded at either Ace's, owned by Bob Weir, or The Barn, Novato, California, owned by Mickey Hart, also members of The Grateful Dead.
The label ceased operating in 1976 when Ron Rakow absconded with several hundred thousand dollars, also causing Grateful Dead Records to stop trading as a fully independent unit.

Pease reissue a nice vinyl of Shady Grove. This needs to be done. Unfortunately only severely overpriced MFSL copy for sale.
