All Disc Records, Inc.


Defunct US pressing plant established in 1960 by Ivan Amowhich and located in Roselle, New Jersey.
In 1966, All Disc Records, Inc. was purchased by Liberty Records, Inc. along with another plant Research Craft in Los Angeles in an effort to expand their manufacturing operations..
Liberty was aquired by Transamerica Corporation in 1968 and everything was merged into Liberty/UA, Inc..
In July of 1978, All Disc, and Research Craft were both acquired by Capitol Records along with the assets of United Artists Records.label
In February of 1981 All Disc Records, Inc. was sold to the ElectroSound Group prior to its closure in September 1981.

Since All Disc was aquired to be the east coast pressing operation for Liberty/UA, Inc. they were tasked with pressing the Lion's share of releases on Liberty, United Artists, and their associated
labels such as Bluenote, Far Out, and EMI America and others. However they also pressed for many other major and minor labels including Polydor, Decca, Uni, MCA, and Kapp.
During 1971-72 labels often used typesetting from Progressive Label And Litho Co. of Brooklyn, NY. Such copies usually have lacquers mastered by Gilbert Kong.

Visual identifiers (do not add to Pressing Plant ID field):
● Etched number usually preceded by "#", and often mirrored in runouts: "22", "33", "44", "66", "77", "88", "111", "114.", "122"
● Other less common etchings found in runouts are: "AD," "AD01," "ALL DISC" or "N-47."
● The press ring diameter seen on labels is always 2.75" (70 mm).

Pressing plant code (include in pressing plant ID field if present):
● Plant code "6" usually appears printed on the labels of pressings for US Polydor beginning 1970 and for other Polygram labels thereafter.
