Fruits de Mer Records

Profile:

Fruits de Mer Records is an independent British record label based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, England, which specializes on vinyl-only releases, including cover versions of classic psychedelia, progressive rock, acid folk, krautrock and space rock.

The record label was founded in early 2008 by Keith Jones (29) and Andy Bracken, the latter of which had been operating his own record label, Bracken Records, since late 2004. When Fruits de Mer Records was founded in 2008, it was operated as an imprint of Bracken Records, and continued as such until the the closure of the parent company in 2010, at which point Fruits de Mer Records became the main company. In 2012, Andy left the label. Keith has continued to operate it on his own, with occasional help from his friends and family.

Fruits De Mer Records has several imprint labels, including Regal Crabomophone, Strange Fish, Friends Of The Fish, Head Cleaner and Tiny. Releases from the main company, Fruits De Mer Records, have the word "crustacean" preceding the catalog numbers.
