Naxos

Profile:

Naxos, established in Hong Kong in 1987, has grown to become one of the world's largest classical music labels.
Label Code: LC 5537 / LC 05537.
Naxos was created by founder Klaus Heymann as an offshoot of HNH International Ltd., Asia's largest record distributor, in order to meet the demand in the Far East for low-priced classical CDs.

Originally, Naxos recordings were made in Slovakia and Hungary, but by 1994 new recordings and artists were added from Western Europe and America. Alongside Maria Kliegel and Jenö Jandó, Naxos added contemporary composers Henryk Górecki, Philip Glass, Michael Nyman and John Tavener.
