a record company, pressing plant & recording studio in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. Its purpose was to encourage Congolese musicians to record their music in their own country instead of using facilities in Kinshasa (D.R. Congo) or in Europe. Thus, in the middle of the summer 1970, the SOCODI complex was inaugurated. It included a modern recording studio and a pressing facility capable of manufacturing 33 rpm lps and 45s. It operated until the early 80s.
One of its first production was a Lp by Les Bantous De La Capitale titled: De Brazzaville A La Havane Avec Les Bantous De La Capitale - Vol. 1, that reflected the Congo`s historic ties with Cuba
