Melodica was established 1971 and was a leading producer of vinyl records until the late 1980's when sadly the regional record pressing companies of vinyl closed down and eventually phased out. However the company is still up and running under the name of Melodica Music Stores and is the oldest established Music Shop within the east African region. It has an immensely large library of mint vinyl records that were produced under their labels as well as an equally large collection of productions from affiliate companies within the east and central African region.
