World Pacific Records

US label.
Label Code: LC 0040 / LC 00040
World Pacific Records applies to all the label variations that have occurred over time, starting from 1957 (see images):
- World Pacific Records (from 1957 to ~1960);
- World-Pacific (with a dash, in the early 60s);
- World Pacific (without dash, after the brand was acquired by Liberty Records, Inc. in May 1965; after the purchase the labels carried the notation "A Product of Liberty Records").

In summer 1968, Transamerica Corporation purchased all of the Liberty labels including World Pacific. Liberty and the rest of the labels were folded in with the United Artists Records label, also owned by Transamerica.
United Artists did reissue World Pacific material in the 1970's.

The label was revived in the early 90s by Capitol Records, Inc. and sometimes carries the notation "A Blue Note Label".
