Dos or Die Recordings was founded in March 1994 by Uwe Papenroth and Andreas Schneider.
Originally a division of Pyramide GmbH and distributed by MMS Euro GmbH.
From July 1996 onwards the label went international through a distribution deal with Sony Music Entertainment in Germany. Artists would appear on Dos Or Die / Epic in Germany and on Dance Pool in the rest of the world.
The company went bankrupt in 2003, but the label brand has been revived by the new company Unlimited Sounds.
