Eclipse (2)

Profile:

This is a label, and should be used in conjunction with the Decca, London Records or Argo (2) labels if necessary.
Label Code: LC 1627 / LC 01627
Decca sub-label introduced in the UK in 1969. Originally it was used for reissues of mono (sometimes converted into 'fake stereo') and early stereo recordings from Decca's classical catalogue. After a short hiatus in the early 1980s, it was used again (through the efforts of John Tracy) between 1986 and 1995 (with new colours on the branding), though solely for popular music compilations. From 1995 to 2001 it was used on reissues of digital classical recordings with new branding, though the old branding was still used on the odd popular music release. The label was re-introduced for a second time in 2006 for releases in the series Eclipse Archive Series: Music From The Universal Vaults.
