Reposted from my comments on the Ingredients line of discs:

A blissful run of discs from LTJ Bukem's Cookin' Records sublabel on GLR. Wish we'd gotten more volumes. This laid back blend of jazzy trip-hop from the late 90s and early 2000s speaks to the soul and occupies a different side of the realm compared to stuff like K&D and Thievery Corporation which is also excellent of course. There is no overstating just how in tune Bukem was musically even this far into the GLR drama. I wish there had been more time for him to push this side of the jazz-infused beat world. If you like this kind of sound check out the Jazz in the House and Klubbjazz mixes from Slip N' Slide - more upbeat and club-friendly but born out of the same vein.

This amazing sub-label should have never disappeared. Amazing tunes from amazing artists! I hope to see this one rise again!
