Mark Beyer's artwork has been regularly appearing on record covers since the early 1980s. Born in 1950, originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Beyer's work was first prominently featured in RAW Magazine. He has also published in the New York Press and New Musical Express, produced cover art for Michael Brodsky's X Man and X in Paris, and has collaborated with writer Alan Moore. Beyer also had a recurring animated short series on MTV's Liquid Television, and a 1995 movie by Gregg Araki, The Doom Generation, was loosely based on his Amy and Jordan comic strips.
