All the music that means the most to me. In no particular order.

  1. FSOL* - ISDN

My favorite thing FSOL has done.

  2. Masters At Work Presents People Underground - My Love

First heard this when Ron Trent played it in February 2000 at the Transmat Time:Space tour in SF.

  3. Slowdive - Souvlaki

My friend Cindy let me borrow this album in 1995. This was the first time I had ever listened to music that wasn't on the radio. I was stunned at how sad this album made me.

  4. Scorn - Evanescence

This album is so dark and groovy. It boggles my mind that this came out of Napalm Dealth.

  5. The Orb - U.F.Orb

Blue Room has probably my all time favorite bass line, it's what I judge all other bass lines by.

  6. Attaboy - Busted Wagon

    26 For Sale from $1.73

    Busted Wagon.

  7. Violet Tracks - Don't You (Keep Me Waiting) - Swag Remix

    19 For Sale from $2.38

Side A is the first house track I heard that I ever liked. Prior to this I was almost exclusively listening to trance (ala Mid-90's Platypus Records).

  8. FUR (5) - Pulp

    20 For Sale from $7.34

    Linkwood Stargazer Mix is sublime.

  9. Superstar DJ Këoki* - All Mixed Up

The first 'DJ mix' I ever heard. I think this mix is one of the best examples of pacing/programing in DJing. Excellent track selection and very good mixes.

  10. Beach House - Teen Dream

    57 For Sale from $9.99

I love every song on this album.

  11. DJ Garth & E.T.I. - Twenty Minutes Of Disco Glory

    5 For Sale from $12.99

Classic acid. Another reason to be proud of the Bay Area house scene.

  12. Jeff Mills - Live At The Liquid Room - Tokyo

The mix that got me into Techno. Segement 1 is goddamn amazing. The whole cd is so raw and inspiring.

  13. Kevin Yost - Unprotected Sax EP

    16 For Sale from $6.95

    Natural High.

  14. Paul Simon - Graceland

    7 For Sale from $2.00

Classic album from my childhood. Great Paul Simon song writing. Awesome documentary called Under African Skies on this. Also great edit of Diamonds... by Todd Terje: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Tangoterje-Edits/release/776324

  15. Them* - Them

    9 For Sale from $4.00

Awesome creepy/dark "abstract hip-hop" as I used to call it back in the day. Love Jel's production on this and Dose One's lyrics/voice are just fantastic! Never really heard anything quite like it. The artwork is outstanding as well. I love the inside piece. Always wondered who did it.

  16. Various - Blech II: Blechsdöttir

    23 For Sale from $4.89

Probably the best mix I have ever heard. I am in no way exaggerating. Shows just how badass Warp was back in the day. So many beautiful tracks and transitions. The interesting audio samples played over the tracks just makes it more perfect. Also includes the best final track in a mix - ever.

  17. Yukiyo Takabayashi - The Takabayashi EP

    23 For Sale from $2.92

Sunburst is just so full of raw energy, makes me smile every time I hear it.

  18. Aceyalone Accompanied By Mumbles - A Book Of Human Language

Amazing concept album from Acey. I wish there were an instrumental release as well.

  19. Anton Zap - Take It As It Comes EP.

    7 For Sale from $14.67

I Get Deep originally had the 'I Get Deep' accapella over it. It showed up on YouTube (and is still up there if you search for it) a few months before this was released. I was bummed to find that it was just the instrumental but it's still good without the vocal.

BYE is probably my favorite track on this release. But they are all very well done.

  20. Autechre - Amber

    14 For Sale from $6.21

The album that got me into Warp Records in 1996. Found this on tape in the used bin at Rasputin Records in San Lorenzo for like 5 bucks. I only recognized the name from a Muzik Magazine review in the BT issue. Bought it not knowing what to expect and was blown away. This was the kind of electronic music I never knew could exist! Still sounds as amazing and mysterious as ever.

  21. B12 - Time Tourist

The album art attracted me when I bought this. Plus it was on Warp which was a new label to me at this time. Such an amazing work. This is pretty much the only B12 I like and this whole thing is like a record from the future. The artwork got me into TDR.
