Pretty self explanatory. The list is not always in order.

All grades are pretty personal, so I wouldn´t call them 100% objective, I´m not a professional music critic. There´s a lot of stuff that you may find is not deserving of more than 2 stars, for example. Or on the contrary, classics that ought to be rated as 4 1/2 Stars, at the very least. The main criteria is how enjoyable and memorable they were for me.

Perhaps the album is fantastic on a technical level and it may even be very influential, but regardless of context, if I can´t find true and unadulterated joy in listening to such tunes, then forget a perfect rating.

However, some albums may be revisited. Memories are not flawless.

  1. A unique and revolutionary classic that is all killer and no filler. Wish I had it on vinyl. 5 Stars.

  2. One of my favorite records of all time. Fell in love with the Sonor/Lion vinyl re-release that I got from Amazon. 5 Stars.
    Own it on vinyl.

  3. A great album that I didn't appreciate at first, but it has grown with me. This doesn't quite reach the height of Mateo & Trasante, but it's still worth a shot. 4 1/2 Stars.
    Own it on vinyl.

  4. It's not in the same league as the 3 previous records, but it's still pretty good. Both of their styles mix really well. 3 1/2 Stars.

  5. Love this bizarre 80's pop. A very interesting departure form Mateo's typical sound, along with Mal Tiempo Sobre Alquimia, although I think this is a far more interesting experience. 4 Stars.

  6. Perhaps one of the weaker offerings by Mateo, but still pretty pleasant. 3 3/4 Stars.

  7. The very first YMO album I ever heard. 4 1/2 Stars.

  8. 4 Stars.

  9. Original rating: An absolute gangsta classic. 5 Stars.
Current rating: Hasn't aged that well. 2 1/2 Stars.

  10. Uswd to be be one of my favorite records of all time. Blew my mind when I first heard it.

  14. 4 Stars.
    Own it on CD.

  15. Great debut. It exemplifies how experimental the band was since it's beginnings. 4 Stars.

  16. 4 Stars.

  17. I believe the bonus tracks are great. But the core experience is still very enjoyable. This has a ton of historical value and it is one of my favorite Uruguayan albums. 4 1/2 Stars.

  18. 3 Stars.
