These are the performers and acts I was privileged enough to see in concert. I went to my first concert (HIldegarde) with my mother in 1975 (I think). I went from Hildegarde to Sonny and Cher (the second concert I remember attending) in 1977, and then I was on my way...

    1975 (I think). Greenwich High School Auditorium, Greenwich, CT. I ran up on stage after the concert to ask her to sign her book ("Over 50, So What") for my mother. I have the book now.

    1977. Westchester Premier Theatre in Tarrytown, NY. Sonny was dressed in a powder-blue jumpsuit, and Cher was in a sleeveless dress (no costume changes). We sat in the last row of the audience. For the last song, they sang three lines of "I Got You Babe" and that was it.

    1982. Symphony Hall in Springfield, MA. He forgot the words to one of his songs in the middle and the audience cracked up.

    Saw her multiple times, beginning in November 1983 (Beacon Theater, NYC) Stephen Holden wrote a review (NY Times) of her two appearances there (I saw them both) and it was titled, "Two Nights with Joan Baez and a Flood of Memories". The last time I saw her in concert was in San Diego, CA in 2011, and I saw her many times in between those years, in multiple states.

    With Peter Orlovsky, at Gerde's Folk City in NYC, Summer 1984. I bought the "First Blues" album at the concert and they both signed it. I'm sorry I didn't invite myself to have a drink with them after the concert.

    I saw her four times. First in 1984 at Gerde's Folk City in NYC. Richard Farina's father (Richard Farina, Sr., as I remember) was in the audience. Second time in 1986, also at Gerde's. Third time, she opened for Bonnie Koloc in 1988, at the Bottom Line in NYC. And the fourth time was with her sister, also at the Bottom Line, in 1995.

    I saw her in concert multiple times. First was at the Gerde's Folk City 25th Anniversary Concert in Summer 1985. She joined Joan Baez for their duet (included on Baez's release "Rare, Live and Classic"). Then at the Speakeasy (NYC) in Summer 1986. Also saw her at the Turning Point in Piermont, NY (don't remember which year). And at the United Nations in NY in 1990.

    Saw her MANY times, from 1985 - 2004 (when she was promoting "Paled By Dimmer Light"). Her son Beau performed at the last concert I attended. What a great guitarist he is!
