A list of UK pressing plants with notes on how to identify them from runout markings.

  1. Adrenalin (4)

    Pressing plant in Slough, Berkshire operating between 1986 and 1998. Previously the Linguaphone Institute Ltd. pressing plant. Identifiable by an etched "ADRENALIN" in the runout.

  2. Allied Records Ltd.

    Pressing plant in Ladbroke Grove, London operating between 1955 and 1986. Identifiable by an etched "(ALI)" in the runout. Where it appears alone use Pressed By, and when appearing alongside another pressing identifier (most commonly WEA Records Pressing Plant, West Drayton) use Mastered At (i.e. Plated At).

  3. Anglia Pressing Company

    Pressing plant in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk operating during the 1970s.

  4. The British Homophone Co. Ltd

    Pressing plant in Kilburn, London operating between 1929 and 1939, and later New Cross, London between c.1951 and 1979. Succeeded by Ice Records pressing plant after being acquired by Eddy Grant in 1979. Succeeded again by another short-lived company in the early 1980s when Grant moved abroad, but finally closed down in 1985. Identifiable by a "-1H" suffix on a matrix number stamped in a thick, straight typography in the runout.

  5. Broadcrest Ltd.

    Pressing plant in Acton, London operating between 1982 and 2000. May also have operated under the name Broadpress (UK) Ltd. Succeeded by Phoenix Of Vinyl Ltd.. Identifiable by either and etched "BC####" or "PA####" number in the runout.

  6. C.H. Rumble Ltd.

    Pressing plant in Redhill, Surrey operating from at least 1963, and later Mitcham, Surrey (London) from at least 1972.

  7. Carlton Productions

    Pressing plant in Dublin, Ireland operating as Carlton Productions (Record Pressings) Ltd. between 1966 and 1986, and as Carlton Productions (1967) Ltd. between 1986 and 1995. Part-owned by Pye Records Ltd. until 1972, Carlton would frequently carry out overspill work for their Tranco Limited plant (although the quality was rather questionable). Identifiable by an etched "CP" in the runout.

  8. CBS Pressing Plant, Aston Clinton

    Pressing plant in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire operating between 1964 and 1980, and later Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire between 1980 and 1990. Previously Levy's, Pressing Plant, Aston Clinton. Identifiable by a stamped "Λ" that can appear like "∴" in the runout.

  9. Curved Pressings

    Pressing plant in Hackney, London operating between 2000 and 2007. Now a manufacturing broker with outsourced operations.

    Pressing plant in Hayes, Middlesex operating as Damont Records Ltd. between 1972 and 1986, and as Damont Audio Ltd. between 1986 and 2006. In 1977, WEA Records Ltd. became the majority shareholder. Identifiable by an etched "DAMONT" in the runout.
