  1. Pagans - Shit Street

    29 For Sale from $11.36

I got this online for something like $3.00. Surprisingly it's in really nice shape. Stellar straight-up punk rock with lousy sound (as originally recorded) and interesting liner notes from Mike Hudson.

  2. Neil Young - Landing On Water

    46 For Sale from $3.90

Not classic Neil, of course, but good for a vinyl fix.

  3. Neil Young - Trans

    74 For Sale from $5.00

Not classic Neil Of course, but good for a vinyl fix.

  4. Sweet* - Desolation Boulevard

    9 For Sale from $3.99

Already had a copy, but this is NM for 4.00 at Deaf Ear.
    SOLD ONE COPY ON DISCOGS

  5. Roy Orbison - Mystery Girl

    3 For Sale from $5.13

NM for 4.00 at Deaf Ear. It goes for next to nothing on eBay, but it's a really nice package, and a pretty good record too.

  6. Tim Buckley - Lorca

    49 For Sale from $8.50

Bought dirt cheap online and got what I paid for - sleeve's kind of beat. I've wanted Starsailor for the longest time even though (or because) I find it difficult listening. I thought this would be a good compromise - not quite as out there, but moving in that direction. I just find Buckley a little tedious for more than a song or two. So far I'm not really digging it, though I think it may be growing on me. Turgid.

  7. Gentle Giant - Octopus

    19 For Sale from $3.76

eBay. Decent condition for a decent price. A solid album; the lead vocals will always be a sticking point for me though with Gentle Giant.

  8. Sigmund Snopek III - Trinity Seas Seize Sees

    4 For Sale from $49.99

I got this for 50 cents at a library book sale. Nice condition. Wisconsin homeboy. Pretty collectable I think. I haven't listened to it yet.

  9. Turley Richards - Expressions

    21 For Sale from $2.99

50 cents at a library book sale. I don't know anything about Turley, but this sounds like a singer/songwriter white soul thing with help from some studio aces. It's not awful; Turley, gotta love the name, has a decent voice, but there's not much here to hold my interest.

  10. L. Ron Hubbard - Space Jazz

    9 For Sale from $18.18

50 cents at library book sale. Wretched album; Truly awful.
    SOLD ON DISCOGS 13.99

  11. Neil Young - After The Gold Rush

    67 For Sale from $3.00

50 cents libarary book sale. Maybe my 3rd copy, but decent shape with insert etc.

  12. The Shangri-Las - I Can Never Go Home Anymore

    1 For Sale from $19.55

Very nice copy bought off eBay. As happens a lot, I was after a couple records, added this as sort of an afterthought and this is the only one I won. Still, "I Can Never Go Home Anymore" - the song - is priceless.

  13. The Pogues - If I Should Fall From Grace With God

    19 For Sale from $11.36

Bought on eBay at a good price - one I've been fishing for for quite a while. An excellent record, with a lot of influences beyond Irish folk.

  14. Sadistic Mika Band - Sadistic Mika Band

    17 For Sale from $10.00

I'm not sure what compelled me to buy this. Japanese band from 1974.It's a weird mix of prog guitar, beats, and bubblegum. I really kind of like it.
this album was also released in the U.S. under the title Black Ship. They were "discovered" and promoted by Roxy Music

  15. Genesis - Nursery Cryme

    22 For Sale from $2.27

    An old favorite.

  16. The Feelies - The Good Earth

    22 For Sale from $11.36

Bought this on eBay as an upgrade copy. Of course, it's got a big crease in the cover not mentioned in the description. Maybe my favorite Feelies album.

  17. 100 Flowers - 100 Flowers

    11 For Sale from $38.00

Bought cheap on eBay and it's in better than expected condition. I like their sound, but the songs aren't really jumping out at me.

  18. Aerosmith - Aerosmith

    21 For Sale from $3.99

Got a good deal on this first press with "Walkin' the Dig" error. Again a crease in the cover (maybe from shipping) but otherwise NM

  19. Social Climbers - Social Climbers

    9 For Sale from $25.00

Bought on a whim as part of a larger eBay order. Gotta stop doing that. I have to say that as nostalgic as I am for this sort of thing, this record just doesn't do it for me.
    SOLD ON DISCOGS

  20. Camper Van Beethoven - Telephone Free Landslide Victory

    1 For Sale from $69.97

Great deal on this I think. It's a promo copy with the 1st edition letter press cover and some inserts.

  21. Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits

    91 For Sale from $2.99

    Nice original press with poster.

  22. Lou Reed - Transformer

    29 For Sale from $19.98

A nice original as an upgrade. This is another title that has a really wide range of prices on eBay. Sure, there's a trite lyric or two, but somehow that's part of the charm, of which this record has loads.

  23. Woody Woodmansey's U-Boat - Woody Woodmansey's U-Boat

    13 For Sale from $11.36

Again... I had a bunch of bids set to go on an auction and threw this in on a whim. I was outbid on everything except this where I bid 3.00. So I'm buying and paying postage on a record I really didn't much want in the first place. It's got tape on the seams etc. but is really not in such bad shape.
And, it's really kind of an enjoyable listen, certainly better than it's reputation (read the review on Allmusic). Almost as much Top of the Pops as Spiders from Mars.

  24. Jimmy Webb - El Mirage

    40 For Sale from $1.50

Got at a record show for a couple bucks. Not exactly my thing, but I recognized the name from his songwriting credits, so what the heck. I can see why Jimmy made his mark as a songwriter, because he really doesn't have the voice to carry an album. Produced by George Martin.
