personal favourite albums

the top 25 is pretty well set, but beyond that, the order fluctuates. this isn't a list of the albums i believe to be the best of all time or anything of the sort. it's just a personal list. there are certainly a few "guilty pleasures" here, though i don't feel guilty. nostalgia plays a significant role with some as well.
beyond the top 25 the order could fluctuate wildly at any given time, but for the purpose of this list, right now, decisions had to be made.
there are many bands and artists i love that are either barely represented or not represented at all. in some cases they simply don't have individual albums that have stood out as much.
there are many albums that will likely rise up the list (and/or be added to the list) but due to either discovering or buying them later have simply not had the time to gestate as much as others.
i'm also not trying to impress anyone. if you insist on seeing radiohead, neutral milk hotel, king crimson, the beatles, led zep, pink floyd, animal collective, death grips, kanye, miles davis or whatever else pitchfork, rolling stone, anthony fantano or any other 'taste maker' outlet insists must be on every list...there's very little auto approved shit here. i simply don't care. there are thousands of lists out there catering to that.
