Not much organization to this. Some entries are obviously suffering due to my famous inability to remember dates, while others are rather exact. No particular order is represented. I’ve also (over)heard some artists at free events, and prefer not to remember them. ;)

  1. Pet Shop Boys

1991-03-21—Saenger Theatre, New Orleans, LAPerformance tour
2009-09-12—Chastain Park Amphitheater, Atlanta, GA—Pandemonium tour
2013-09-14—Atlanta Symphony Hall, Atlanta Symphony Hall, Atlanta, GA—Electric tour

  2. Information Society

1992? Bar in Louisiana’s northshore area (Hammond?), during the regrettable "INSOC-as-Kurt-solo" period. (Was NOT in New Orleans.)

  3. Joy Electric

Several times via The Crush, Birmingham, AL. Got to meet Ronnie and Jeff, get autographs, etc.

  4. Fold Zandura

Several times via The Crush, Birmingham, AL. Got to meet Jyro and Frank.

  5. Prodigal Sons

The Crush, Birmingham, AL. Talked to J.R.
Greg was not available on this stop; they had a “dancer” instead. They played in some sort of civic center, rather than a warehouse, where previous Crush shows had been.

  6. All Star United

    The Crush, Birmingham, AL.

  7. Pink Floyd

1994-05-14. Superdome, New Orleans, LA. Division Bell era.
I saw their publicity blimp fly over me on the I-10 High Rise a few days before the concert.

  8. Kelly Wingate

Starkville, MS and at RUF conferences. Around 3 times. Trent and Jonathan were the MSU RUF music leaders, so naturally lots of RUF kids went to their shows. Jonathan showed up and hung out with me while I did one of my last radio shows at WMSV.

  9. 9

    P.O.D.

  11. Felix Hell

    First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, MS
We had hoped they would have advertised it as “Hear the Sounds of Hell”, but they didn’t seize the opportunity.

  12. Indelible Grace

The “touring band” (primarily Matthew Smith (2) plus band) at Twin Lakes, Florence, MS. My wife and I helped book them for this event.
2016-01-27. Highlands Presbyterian Church, Ridgeland, MS, with Matthew Smith fronting.

  13. Matthew Smith (2)

    2006-11-19. Atlanta, GA.
2008?-11. The Exit Inn, Nashville, TN.
2010. House Of Blues, New Orleans, LA. We got a photo with her ridiculously late that night. We witnessed (and participated in) the recording of New Orleans Live Improv (Full And Edit).
